Employment Services
WACOSA provides a variety of job opportunities that match the skills and interests of the people we serve. They include:
- Individual Placement includes job search and development as well as assistance to the employer in their initial job training. Intermittent follow-along services are then provided to assist the worker in achieving successful and long-term employment.
- Work Crew provides employment at a business and consists of four workers and a WACOSA job coach. Workers are trained to complete all or part of the job depending on their individual ability level. This type of employment option offers a worker a job in the community with staff supervision.
- In-center work is completed at one of WACOSA’s program sites and generally includes assembly, packaging, labeling and confidential document shredding.
Assessment and Training Services
These services are offered through WACOSA’s Extended Employment program and include:
Employee Development Service provide the opportunity to work in-center or in the community while WACOSA staff provide training and supervision and assess an individual’s strengths and needs specific to their ability to be successfully employed.
